Maintenance Tips for foam products shape memory

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Here's manufacturers recommendations on how to unpack your product shape memory foam , and tips for maintenance and use.

Unpack your foam shape memory

This over-foam mattress shape memory has the best quality in manufacturing disposable foam visco-elastic. It has been folded, rolled and compressed by a machine for efficient delivery. This will affect its performance, but may require 24 to 72 hours to recover its original shape.

IMPORTANT: Do not use scissors or any sharp object to remove the plastic packaging. Be careful and remove the plastic by hand. Pull gently the compressed product to the place. If you notice a slight odor when the package is opened, it is normal for the "cool moss" and it should disappear after a few days. Carefully separate the layers with a slow, steady and uniform traction. One must be careful to avoid tearing the foam. As soon as it is unwound, expect it to regain its original shape before you make your bed. Focus on just the mattress memory foam form directly over the mattress and cover all of the same cloth. If you have a mattress top or imposing too thick, you may need a large towel underneath to cover on the mattress memory foam shape.

Maintenance and use

Cleaning: Hand wash only with warm water and mild detergent. Rinse and squeeze gently. Allow product to dry before use. Do not use a washing machine or dryer.

Safety: Safety precautions against fire must always be respected. You can use an electric heater, but make sure it works well and is UL approved unlined or damaged wiring.
My tips to breathe on mattress

We tend to over-breathe new mattresses in a separate room with the windows open to let fresh air. A feature that we learned is that the mattress seem to breathe more quickly with a fan blowing on it. So we put the cushion on a chair with the fan blowing on it, and return the morning so that each side can breathe the same way. This ensures the odor, in large part, and after a day or two you should be able to reinstall it on your bed.

After starting to use the on-mattress, you can fight any residual odor in the breath by the same way during the day and putting on your bed at night. In our experience, it helps to eliminate odors in a few days. Another solution is to ventilate on the mattress outside for one day or two. Many customers tell us that it works very well, but of course you must ensure the appearance of any dirt or mold that could endommanger outside on the mattress.
